Sony Ericsson is appealing to snap-happy consumers with the announcement of two new cameraphones. Both the phones are intended to replace a digital camera. While the C905 is claimed to be a viable alternative to a digi-cam, the S302 is said to be useful for taking pictures that can be shared via Bluetooth.
The C905 Cyber-shot slider phone boasts an 8.1-megapixel camera and flash, as well as all the usual bells and whistles found in most of today's high-end phones. The S302 Snapshot is aimed at those on a smaller budget. For storing pictures and other data, memory options include a bundled 2GB
Memory Stick Micro (M2). A USB adaptor (CCR-70) to transfer photos to-and-from a PC is also included in the package.
With this phone, users will also be able to send photos wirelessly to their TV via Wi-Fi (using DLNA), or by connecting with wires using the also just introduced TV-Out Cable ITC-60.According to Sony Ericsson, the C905 Cyber-shot phone and S302 Snapshot phone are all-round performers that maximise the company's camera credentials.
The C905 is a fine looking slider phone, with a similar feel and UI to the K850i with 8MP to play with alongside the usual range of camera controls now including face detection. The Karl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash nestles under a slinky brushed metal cover to give it a classy feel
Additionally, users will be able to upload photos to their own Blog site, or print photos up to A3 size. Also, GPS-enabled for geo-tagging of photos and navigation support has been provided with the C905.
"The C905 Cyber-shot and S302 Snapshot have been developed to make us all better photographers," said Sven Totté, head of imaging marketing at Sony Ericsson.Tags: Cell Phones Sony Ericsson Sony Ericsson C905 Add as favourites (10) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 151 | Print | E-mail
